Taking a gamble on empty shops

The leader of Darlington Council has told BBC Tees he'd consider leaving shops empty for longer instead of letting betting shops open. Bill Dixon's comments come as the Government is expected to announce that local councils will be given greater powers to restrict high street gambling.
