Stage 4: Dave Brailsford opens up

Jul 08, 2014, 07:19 PM

The second half of The Telegraph Cycling Podcast, supported by Jaguar, is an exclusive, extensive interview with Team Sky's principal Dave Brailsford.

Richard Moore and Lionel Birnie sat down with Brailsford on the eve of the Tour to ask about his team-building philosophy, the ethics of applying for Therapeutic Use Exemptions to permit riders to take prescribed medicines and why Team Sky is not a member of the Movement for Credible Cycling.

Before that, we hear from Daniel Friebe who, unlike Richard and Lionel, managed to get across the channel in time for the finish of Tuesday's fourth stage. The others were caught in the mayhem following an electrical fault in the tunnel.

Daniel spoke to Team Sky's sports director Servais Knaven and Orica-GreenEdge's Matt White about Wednesday's stage over the cobbles. We also hear from Sky's cobbled specialist Geraint Thomas.
