An 88 year old woman from Chichester has billed West Sussex County Council forty pounds after she says she was forced to cut back foliage which blocked her view of the road - HERSELF.

Barbara Chisholm and her daughter Victoria say it was too dangerous to try and cross New Park Road near the roundabout because the verges had become so overgrown.

West Sussex County Council says they were planning to send someone out to deal with the problem - and they don't encourage people to cut back hedges in public places as they're not insured if something goes wrong...
