Hi, everybody I’m going for free talk, that’s more exciting. Not that I’m a good speaker, just for fun. And please, correct my mistakes. I’m sure I have a lot of them in pronunciation and grammar. So I’m going to talk about my English history. I’ve started learning English from high-school. That was just to pass the course and, really, who needed English? And we had and Arabic course too, and that was terrible, sorry Arabian guys. And then, I picked up computer science in collage, and well, that needs some English knowledge. Not much, just enough to read computer related texts in internet. That was enough, and I’ve become really good in it. I was able to read most computer related texts without a dictionary after a while, which really helped me to understand English sentences and structure. After that it become a hobby for me to learn English. I had no progress in 2 or 3 year afterward. I’ve really wanted to learn English, but u know, that was really hard. I’m not someone who can do something just by sheer will power. I must enjoy it to do it. Finally I found a way. The Harry potter. No he didn’t help me with magic. You know, I’m a big fan of harry potter book series (its films sucks) and I have read each one of them multiple times. So I picked English version of them, and started reading it. That was really hard in the beginning, but eventually it become easy after finishing one book. And when I finished them all, wow, I was able to read most English texts. I was enjoying the books, and that made me to continue, never to give up or get bored, that really helped me. Ok now I know some words and can understand English texts quite well. So next mission was listening. Yes, I had no experience in listening in English. I have used to read books, internet, and other texts. And guess what, I had made my own pronunciations on the way. So I started to, of course, listening to harry potter audio books. And that helped me a lot. Afterwards I was just trying to improve my listening and pronunciation by listening to internet radio, music and movies. And well, world of Warcraft and dota2 helped me a lot too, they are online games. Any gamer here? Ok, so the Next mission was speaking. And the problem is I can’t speak to harry potter. And I’m just too shy to get out and talk to those tourists, and yes we have a lot of them here in my city. Until I saw this website, and I told myself: ok, it’s time to learn speaking. Hope that u guys help me out on this one. Sorry I talked a lot. Thank you for listening. And please don’t forget to point out my mistakes. Good luck. Bye.
