Row over new hospital parking charges plan

Parking is always a contentious subject but what about paying for parking at hospitals. The South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust has launched a consultation on the proposals to extend traffic management and car parking charges to Lagan Valley, Ards Hospital and the Downshire Hospitals in Downpatrick. The Trust intend to the use the rates that are in place at the Ulster hospital as a starting point.

So is it fair to charge for hospital parking or is it reasonable to raise some money that will go back into hospital services?
