Haida Nation wants herring fishery closed by 2015: fishermen's union reacts

The Council of the Haida Nation is hoping to put a stop sign in front of this year's proposed herring fishery.

President Peter Lantin says the fishery is not healthy enough to open but an open fishery might not see many fishermen travel to the waters of Haida Gwaii.

Kim Olsen is president of the United Fishermen and Allied Workers Union and this is his response to that.
