LISTEN: Two Staff Members Sexually Attacked At A Glasgow Hospital

Staff at Glasgow's Royal Infirmary are on high alert after two workers were sexually attacked.

Just days before Christmas, a woman - who's 27 - was assaulted by a patient in the IVF Department and it happened again this week but this time it was a 24 year old victim.

Security patrols have been increased at the city centre hospital and NHS union UNISON are warning staff to remain vigilant.

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde say “[We have] a strict zero tolerance policy towards violence against our staff who are entitled to work free of threats, assaults and intimidation, and we take very seriously any act of physical or verbal abuse.

“All our staff deserve basic courtesy and respect and to be able to work without fear of intimidation, abuse or violence.”
