The Equality Commission says it is opposed to DUP proposals to put a 'conscience' clause into law. Its Chief Commissioner Michael Wardlow said it would weaken legal rights for the gay community. Speaking on the BBC's The View he said he didn't think the proposed legislation addressed the key issue of conscience.
