Sexism on the big screen? #BBCNolan

Helen Mirren has slammed the Hollywood movie industry for its sexism and ageism against older actresses. The British film star says it's outrageous and ridiculous that actress Maggie Gyllenhaal was considered too old to play the love interest of an actor 18 years her senior.

Mirren, who is nearly seventy and has been described as a sex symbol, says "we all watched James Bond as he got more and more geriatric, and his girlfriends got younger and younger. It's so annoying."
