Stressed teenagers – is life harder now? #BBCNolan
Have we got a nation of "stressed teenagers"? Is life tougher for them than it was for us?
Well the Children's Society say its latest research shows that's the case. A third of youngsters say they regularly feel anxious, and a quarter say they don't feel optimistic about their futures.
The Society's new report also shows a third of 16-17 year olds are too stressed to sleep at night, and two-thirds feel "judged" just for being a teenager.
So is this anything new? Haven't teenagers always struggled through their adolescent years?
Commentators Bill Jeffrey and Fionola Meredith speak to Nolan.
