Saturday 13 July 1985. Britain was enjoying a warm sunny day but that afternoon the streets were pretty quiet as the nation - along with the rest of the world - settled down to watch the concert of a lifetime: Live Aid. Major rock and pop acts had been encouraged and cajoled by Bob Geldof to perform in the 15-hour concert from London and Philadelphia. Here are some of the highlights from that memorable day.
