The #TROIKA nations of the United States, Norway and the United Kingdom have called on the Parties in the conflict to cease the opportunities provided by the compromise agreement to put an end to the suffering of the people and the destruction of the World’s newest country. The call was made by Donald Booth, the US Special Envoys for Sudan and #South Sudan. Booth noted that the agreement highlights the architecture of an inclusive transitional government, compromises to facilitate a ceasefire and reform the security sector, proposal for addressing the dire state of South Sudan economy and for ending the endemic corruption. He said that the Troika believes that a transition built on these reforms and safeguards offers the best chance for a stable, peaceful and prosperous South Sudan.
