Tributes have been flooding in for the singer, TV presenter and entertainer Cilla Black. Yesterday afternoon it was confirmed Cilla had died at her home in Spain, at the age of 72. Police say she died during the night, apparently of natural causes.

Cilla's father worked at the docks, and her mother ran a market stall. But the teenager from Liverpool who hung up the coats at the Cavern Club became the country's biggest-selling British female act, as well as its highest-paid female entertainer.

TV and radio presenter Gloria Hunniford was a close friend of Cilla's.
