Gerry Adams said yesterday that the Provisional IRA has "gone and is not coming back". But Northern Ireland most senior policeman says the Provos still exist and some members were involved in the murder of Kevin McGuigan. Sinn Fein have maintained that the brutal execution was carried out by a criminal gang. Gerry Adams has said the same before about other killings, including Paul Quinn from Cullyhanna. He was just 21 when he was found beaten in the Republic of Ireland. He died later in hospital. His family have always blamed the IRA for his murder in 2007.
