Give my son the help he needs - a father's plea to education chiefs #BBCNolan

Stephen contacted us on Twitter about this story. His son Ché is autistic and will start primary in a matter of days. But - Stephen is concerned his son's needs WILL NOT be met as he believes he needs a specialist school. They've had Ché assessed by a private clinic - who said the 4 year old would suffer in mainstream education. But the board have yet to carry out Ché's full statement - that's the assessment of his needs. This 4 year old child is now left in limbo. His parents believe their son needs a specialist school but they say because the education system have not done a full statement yet, he cannot get a place in a specialist school.
