It's a very big week for thousands of young children across Northern Ireland as they start school for the first time. Just think for a minute how big a day that was for your childreN. Think how excited and nervous they were. Well for one local boy that day isn't going to happen.

Stephen contacted Nolan on Twitter about this story. His son Ché is autistic and was meant to start primary school yesterday. But - Stephen feels his son's needs won't be met as he believes Che needs a specialist school.

The family have had Ché assessed by a private clinic - who said the 4 year old will suffer in mainstream education. But the board have yet to carry out Ché's full statement - that's the assessment of his needs.

So Che's family have taken the difficult not to send him to school.

The Nolan show has been trying to help Che. We've been trying to get answers from the Education Authority, that's the new body which recently took over from the five Education and Library Boards.

Our reporter Nicola Weir went down to their headquarters to meet Che's dad Stephen.
