Petition calls for Belfast City Council to do more to help the city's homeless

Is there enough being done to help homeless people on the streets of Belfast? Currently a petition is going around online calling for Belfast City council to open up the doors of empty buildings to be used to provide shelter over the winter months. The petition has been created by Amethyst Outreach, who go into Belfast each night to help feed and clothe the homeless. It currently has nearly 8,000 signatures.
