Black player barred from All-Native basketball not the first time tournament has contended with race

The story of Josiah Wilson has made national headlines this week. The young man is a member of the Heiltsuk First Nation and a status Indian. But he was adopted from Haiti, so under the rules of the All-Native Basketball tournament, he does not meet the requirements to be considered First Nation. This isn't the first time blood has been subject of debate at the tournament. We speak to Patrick Witwicki, a former sports reporter in Prince Rupert about the history.
