Will the Irish League’s hot new signings breathe new life into the local game? #BBCNolan

Local football has been both stunned and excited by Glentoran's signing of Rangers legend Nacho Novo this week. It comes on the back of Northern Ireland internationals Sammy Clingan, Roy Carroll and Paddy McCourt also agreeing deals with Irish League clubs.

Former Forest and Norwich midfielder Clingan has joined Linfield along with ex West Ham and Man United goalkeeper Carroll. Ex Celtic star McCourt has signed for Glenavon. The three of them have more than 100 caps between them.

So with all these big name signings, will it breathe new life into the local game?
