More welfare support for Brunei Garrison?

With soldiers facing the very real threat of redundancy, the need for increased welfare support may appear obvious, but in this cost efficient age it still has to justified. Warrant Officer Tony Brown is spending three months in Brunei to explore whether a permanent Army Welfare Service worker would benefit the Garrison. Working alongside existing agencies like SSAFA and the Community Support Team he plans to spend time with Nepalese soldiers and their families - learning about their anxieties problems, and offering support through holding regular drop in clinics.

BFBS Brunei’s Sarah Maddison asked whether many families were anxious.
