SPACE RELATIONS(Relacions de l’espai):

This is a large, contemporary and stylized sculpture done by Àngel Màdico in 2001, who wanted to do a representational sculpture. The composition is made of 5 different sculptures which are columns with the different components of the universe on it: the sun, the moon, the light, the symbol of the earth and the symbol of the universe directions. The set of sculptures measures 9 meters tall and 5 meters wide. They’re made of metal, done with a harmony of bright colours. The colours are also analogous which are next to each other in the colour wheel like purple, blue, red, orange and yellow. Àngel used angular shapes but the sculptures also have organic shapes like the sun or the moon. The sculptures symbolize the two cosmos: the microcosmos and the macrocosmos, and the energy between the components of it.
