Websites. We got it all wrong haven't we?
I think that we think of websites as physical 'things', almost as buildings. We then struggle to help our lost, confused 'visitors' navigate around these buildings.
Maybe a better, more helpful mental model, would be to (sometimes) see our websites as a series of interlocking adverts.
