Vance's first McTimoney chiropractic-like treatment

Oct 10, 2012, 07:21 PM

Wednesday was the day for Vance's much anticipated chiropractic treatment - or rather his McTimoney Therapy, as we must henceforth call it for legal reasons!

Luisa Greig was wonderfully calm and gentle with Vance whilst treating him, and felt that the kind of symptoms he had been showing were just what McTimoney could help. Vance - or his part - responded well on the evening, despite a little surprise at first. I will wait a bit before commenting on how well he is doing physcially.

If you're in the Surrey/West Sussex/South London area and are interested in finding out more about the therapy, please see Luisa's website: www.luisagreig-mctimoneyanimaltherapy.com .

Owing to my incorrect use of the term "chiropractor" at the start of this recording, and in the title (note small "c" chiropractic...) Luisa has asked me to include the following:

"Under current legislation, the General Chiropractic Council (GCC) regulates the chiropractic treatment of humans. Only practitioners that are registered with the GCC can legally call themselves Chiropractors and treat members of the public. Animal therapists like Luisa Greig are not able to join the GCC as it is only concerned with human treatment. The use of the word McTimoney to describe the animal treatment DOES NOT therefore imply that McTimoney Animal therapists such as Luisa are chiropractors. "

I should also stress that inappropriate use of the term here is entirely due to me, not her, and that Luisa was at pains to explain this at the beginning of our session.
