Obama says the 'precipitating event' to the Gaza crisis was an 'ever escalating' number of missiles fired into Israel. He says 'There is no country on Earth that would tolerate missiles raining down on its citizens'. The US is 'fully supportive' of Israel's right to defend itself from missiles being fired from Gaza.
