Should it be easier for Northern Ireland bosses to sack people?

The DUP says it wants less red tape and more flexibility for employers. Currently, workers here have to be in a job for a year before they can take an unfair dismissal case. But DUP MLAs want that to be increased to two years, in line with changes made in Great Britain. They argued in the Assembly yesterday this would make Northern Ireland more attractive to outside investors. But unions say it would weaken protection for employees.
