The memory of Worcestershire cricketing legend Basil D'Oliveira will be preserved as plans are unveiled for a new statue.
It will live outside the new main entrance at New Road.
The Basil D'Oliveira Foundation was officially launched at the ground yesterday.
As well as the statue the foundation plans to fund exchange programmes for young cricketers in England and Basil's home country of South Africa.
Basil was the first NON WHITE South African cricketer to be included in an England tour to South Africa in the 1960's. At the peak of the hated apartheid regime in that country.......
