Great idea for local news reporting. Good job!
PS I'm still knocked out by how good the sound quality is with Audioboo

Sure! My paper is in Grand Island, Nebraska in the US and our main account is @theindependent. If you like, you can check out the paper's twitter page and see we've got several journos tweeting now as well plus some other uses: http://ginewsroom.com/twitter

We've taken to it bigtime, and I've even been using Audioboo this past week to Boo headlines to our Twitter account, which has been fun :)

Hi Melia,
Do let us know where your paper is and your twitter account. I know James has already responded but I would like to add that i feel the reason why he is so passionate about the way it is all working is mainly because he is using twitter for the right reasons.. to engage and share. There are larger news organisations in the area with much less of a twitter presence who still don't really seem to get how important it is to be a human being between the news feeds.

I agree with you, just Twitterfeed would not do it, I tweat away as well and interact with comments and responses. I do firmly believe it is about engaging.

Hello from Nebraska! This Boo caught my eye because I run the twitter account for my city's newspaper and have been doing so for nearly 2 years now. I completely agree that it's a vital part of pulling in readers. The key, for us, has been interaction though. I had twitterfeed running, but the followers were only trickling in - 1 or 2 a week if that. When I shut it off and began tweeting headlines and info - giving them "voice" so to speak as well as talking to followers, we doubled our followers in a week. It was amazing. Twitterfeed is awesome though, and I use it on a couple of secondary accounts for the paper (sports and weather). But I truly believe interaction with our readers is key because it puts us in their minds as the place to go for their news. They feel they have a level of access to us they can't get from things like radio or TV.

Anyway, sorry for waffling on about it, but the subject is near and dear to me :) great job, and thanks for the Boo!
