The latest trouble began after a 1,000-strong loyalist protest outside Belfast City Hall. The police say the vast majority of demonstrators returning to East Belfast broke away from an agreed route on their way back from the protest. Fighting then broke out at the Short Strand between nationalist residents and loyalist protestors. First Minister, Peter Robinson has condemned the violence, saying the political process is the only way to put an end to the unrest. Security journalist Brian Rowan, discusses what exactly happened. #bbcnolan
