Vera Imaginatio (a poem)

This is a poem about a gigantic goanna my son, Marcus, and I came across whilst bike riding in Southern New South Wales. It is part of the Alchemy sequence of poems inspired originally by Jung's three books on alchemy and depth psychology. The image accompanying this poem is not of the goanna we saw that day - it is of a much younger and smaller goanna photographed near our block in Central Victoria - at five feet long big enough you might say!
