Worlds Collide: Key Features of Literary Responses to Postmodern Culture

Jan 20, 2013, 11:35 AM

This short sample podcast has been taken from a workshop delivered in 2011 outlining the relationship between postmodern writing techniques and post WWII social, economic and cultural developments (e.g. 'postmodern society' and 'globalisation'). The sample suggests that fundamental to postmodern literature is the notion that writers (and other artists) belong in an 'interstitium' - a confusing, permeable place (zone?) between apparently solid realities/paradigms etc. [This AudioBoo Copyright Ian Irvine (Hobson) 2013, all rights reserved.]
