Part of a Balanese Gamalan Lesson - rhythm section try out!

Hi! At SOAS, we do gamalan lessons. Cool right? So this is a recording of a first atempt of the rhythm section - which consists of drums (kendhang), kajar (pulse or time keeper), and chengcheng (turtle with a dragons head that also helps to keep time!) I randomly interject with the small gong to help orient the rhythm players..! Remember this is just a lesson we are just beginners and are all not at all experienced! Enjoy :)
