The Great Pacific Garbage Patch

Located in the North Pacific Ocean is a large mass of plastic debris and waste. Trapped in a circulating current, an area known as ‘The Great Pacific Garbage Patch’ floats on the surface of the ocean. I investigated in to the environmental issue and produced a radio feature, aimed towards BBC Radio 1. I interviewed a number of relevant people, including George Orbelian, a member of ‘Project Kaisei’, Dr Sue Kinsey, head of beach clean ups UK, and Rebecca Asch, part of SEAPLEX.
