"Transdiffusion developed in 1964 from a school-based tape-recording club known as the Transdiffusion Networking Association (TNA). Founded by Kif Bowden-Smith and based in the Wirral(UK), its members communicated by sending letters to each other on reel-to-reel tape"

The Transdiffusion Broadcasting System is now a massive online archive which grew out of its humble beginnings as a schoolboy's hobby. 'The Trandiffusion Story' is a quirky nostalgic trip down memory lane to the days when UK TV networks would start the days programmes with an authoritarian announcer and rousing military marches! It is also shows how, from the 1/4 inch magnetic tape and the postal service of the 1960s to the internet of today, broadcasting history can be preserved forever.
