Today's Big Friday Guest, the athlete Liz McColgan, was the very popular winner of the BBC Sports personality of the year in 1991. This accolade came as she won Gold at the World Championships, in addition to her previous Olympic Silver and Commonwealth Golds. #bbcnolan
Her life over the intervening 20 years has mainly been lived out of the spotlight, apart from a very public court case in 2011. She was accused of assaulting her estranged husband but cleared when the case came to court.
