Grameen micro-finance

Grameen Bank - it's the biggest global financial institution you've never heard of. And it's coming to Scotland. It started in Bangladesh, lending money to people deemed un-creditworthy by traditional businesses. Now it exists in dozens of countries round the world ... still offering small loans that can make a huge difference, by allowing women in particular to set up businesses that secure a family's income and future.
