Catholic Church press secretary says he forgives Cardinal O'Brien after his apology over sexual misconduct
Cardinal Keith O'Brien, who stood down as Britain's most senior Roman Catholic this week, has admitted that his sexual conduct fell below the standards expected of him. Three priests and a former priest had made allegations of improper behaviour against Cardinal O'Brien. He'd denied it - but today says he apologises to those he's offended. Over the weekend I spoke to Catholic journalist Peter Jennings who is currently press secretary to the Archbishop of Birmingham and is a long time friend of Cardinal Keith O'Brien.
