Despite the downturn, some experts argue the classic car scene in Ireland is thriving. While some people buy classic cars for investment purposes, the majority of owners share a sense of nostalgia and will most likely never recoup any of the money they investment in their cars. In some cases, these cars are the loves of their lives. I spent yesterday on the highways and byways of west Cork taking part in the annual Kilmeen National School vintage car run along with 100 classic car enthusiasts.
