Margaret Ritchie MP for South Down - Calls upon the Northern Ireland Executive to provide emergency financial aid for farmers.

The MP for South Down called this afternoon for the Northern Ireland Executive to provide a one of financial aid package for farmers who are currently experiencing hardship due to the recent snow storm to hit the province.

Counties Antrim and Down are the worst hit, with reports of hundreds of livestock having died due to deep snowdrifts and the inability of farmers being able to reach their stock in time with feed, due to snow blocked roads.

In this interview Margaret highlights the current plight of the farming community.
