There's a plague of locusts covering half the island of Madagascar. The failure - because of a lack of money - to get the swarming insects under control over the past two years has led to this situation. The UN's Food and Agriculture Organisation is now appealing for more money to help. Annie Monard is a locust expert at the FAO..and she first told BBC Africa how bad the situation is.
