Dwarf Baleen Whale Survived Well into Ice Age -- Jessica Doty

Recently, scientists from New Zealand's university found the fossil of a dwarf baleen whale. The fossil was as young as 700,000 years old and 4-5 meters long. Finding this fossil tells us that our old theory of modern marine animals surviving in the pre- ice age was wrong.
