Pakistan Elections 2013

In the run up crucial Pakistan general elections in just over a week, Frontline Club’s monthly event, First Wednesday, hosted a panel discussion to consider the country’s prospects. The panelists of the evening, 1st May 2013, included regional experts and journalists, Irfan Husain; Pir Zubair Shah and Umber Khairi along with the High Commissioner of Pakistan to UK, Wajid Shamsul Hasan. It was chaired by Paddy O’Connell, BBC Radio 4′s Broadcasting House. This is an excerpt of the discussion relating to the role of religious parties.
