An elderly care expert describes last week's handling of the closure announcements as "life threatening"

There's been debate over research on whether forced closures can increase the mortality rate. It's obviously a very sensitive subject. Dr David Jolley from Manchester University is a psychiatrist with expertise in social care of the elderly. He told me he thinks what's happened here was life threatening, but it can still be put right.
