Does a big family equal a happy family?

It can be expensive raising a child, earlier this week we heard that it can cost up to a £148,000 over the first eighteen years.

It's feared that constant warnings like this are putting parents off having more than one child.

A new book published by the social policy think tank Civitas says people shouldn't be dissuaded from having larger families, and in some cases it can work out just as cheap.
