Does a big family equal a happy family?

It can be expensive raising a child, earlier this week we heard that it can cost up to a £148,000 over the first eighteen years.

It's feared that constant warnings like this are putting parents off having more than one child.

A new book published by the social policy think tank Civitas says people shouldn't be dissuaded from having larger families, and in some cases it can work out just as cheap. Breakfast’s Charlie and Naga spoke with Vicky Kay who has one child and Anne Quinn who has seven children among them David who joined her in the studio.
