Join me, #Robert and my #parents as we cruise along a #Gloucester #canal in a #boat with an extremely #enthusiastic #commentary that was never boring, and kept us entertained throughout the #trip, which was recorded when we were in Gloucester for the #ThreeChoirs #festival at the end of #July #2013. At the start, we wait for another boat, The Edward Elgar, to go past before we can start our journey and the nearby #bridge and is operated and discussed. Sounds included are the bridge #alarm, #gulls, a dramatic #sneeze from my Dad, loud #signals before the boat turns from its #horn, which has a fantastic #stereo #echo, lots of fantastic commentary and Robert, Dad and my impressions of our guide’s unique, #dramatic way of speaking and fantastic #accent, me doing a quick vocal exercise to test out the echo as we go under a bridge, lots of #giggling at our guide’s strange word emphasis, #wind blowing (which would have been worse if I hadn’t put my #Olympus in my bag) and discussion of sailing #knots, which leads to me singing a snatch of a folksong near the end.

I hope you enjoy the audio of our tour as much as we enjoyed the real thing. Watch this space for part 2. :)
