Is a new Northern Ireland flag the way forward? We've had a full year of bitter division on flags. Today is the first anniversary of the Belfast Council decision to limit the flying of the union flag at City Hall. The Belfast Telegraph today reveals that the idea of a new Northern Ireland flag has been put on the table at the Haass talks. They're the talks between political parties chaired by US diplomat Richard Haass. Brian Rowan reports in the Telegraph that Dr Haas has asked the parties for their thinking on a new flag.
