Of piece and tack

Memories sparked by Macolgans audioboo on 20th century lunch habits. We grew up with sandwiches for lunch and as field archaeologists we needed sandwiches for morning and lunch break. But the quality of bread throughout the 90s and 00s discouraged sandwich creation. Now though, with the availability of great breads like the sourdough shown above I think 2014 will see a revival in homemade sandwiches for me.
