The Saskatchewan economic success story of the past ten years is a key element of a major business conference in Atlantic Canada today.

The business community in the Moncton region in New Brunswick is staging a two-day summit to explore ways of sparking additional life into the regional economy. It has generated a lot of interest as several hundred business people are participating.

Moncton is the economic engine of that province and the local economy there has levelled out, according to business leaders in the community. And they want to fire it up. So they’re looking to Saskatchewan for some answers.

The growth we’ve undergone in the past decade has turned heads from one end of the nation to the other and the New Brunswick business community is hoping to tap into that story for some ideas of their own. How a province went from losing people for more than two decades straight to one that has seen its population grow by 15 per cent in ten years. And how investment tripled on the strength of the 3-Fs: Food, Fuel and Fertilizer.
