Around 21 million people remain enslaved across the globe. One of the places where slavery is still a big issue is in Mauritania. Sarah Mathewson is the Africa Programme Coordinator for Anti-Slavery International - and she explains why Mauritiania is sometimes described as one of slavery's last strongholds -- with over half a million people living in slavery.
