Poetic arrival at Richmond thanks to a District Line Tube driver

The automated announcements of London Underground are a boon for those of us who can't read the station signs, but they are rather clinical and lacking in emotion. Once in a while however, one has the pleasure to ride on a train piloted by a poet, comedian, or transport planner.

Last night we had all three. At Turnham Green he told Ealing bound passengers alighting for a different service that their train would "probably " be along soon to whisk them to their destination. And then at Richmond, as this boo testifies, he treated us to some dry humour bookended with rhyming couplets.
