The Transport Select Committee have spoken in a report today about the 'harrowing evidence' they've heard from families of people killed or severely injured at level crossings.

They say that Network Rail have withheld key documents from court, have unfairly accused people accidentally killed of 'misuing' the crossings, and that the amount they spent on legal representation at inquests was 'disproportionate'.

The new Chief Executive of Network Rail, Mark Carne, apologised to Reg Thompson - the father of Charlie Thompson who was also killed at Elsenham with her friend Olivia - on Today earlier this morning. Andie spoke to Reg, shortly afterwards.
